A rare opportunity to work with renowned Master Potter Ruthanne Tudball to help you realise and explore your own creativity and personal style in clay.
“A personal style cannot be achieved intentionally. Style is a means to an end and not an end in itself. The important thing is to have fascinations, preferences, nagging questions, enthusiasms and passions. Noticing your concerns and continually defining and refining them is what gives birth to a personal style.” (Clary Ilian)
With the above thoughts in mind, this throwing course will contain exercises which will stretch and challenge your approach to clay and will offer an opportunity to practice for such things as imagination and originality in your approach to form and decoration.
The course will provide the opportunity to explore your skills through the making of forms that require you to deal with scale, utility, context and meaning.
All materials and lunch included each day.
